A Basement Story, (2004-forever) was what I called my musical relationship with my best teenhood friend Joe.
We spent countless hours in the basement experimenting, cracking up, snacking, playing ping pong, flipping through transworld and thrasher, eventually getting insanely stoned, recording, and improving. This time was formative for me as a musician, creative, and friend. I am so grateful for it.
This track, I feel, shows off our hunger as musicians, and our teen angst. I remember this riff barely being jamed on for 5 seconds before we hit the record button on my Fostex MR8. Laid it down, never thought about it again, until now.
